Walt Disney World announced plans this morning to adopt a new date-based ticket pricing structure. Currently, guests who purchase multi-day tickets and any options must be use them within 14 days of first use, except for Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets. Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets expire 6 months after first use. First use must occur on or before December 31, 2019. The new date-based tickets however must be used within a specific date range. Theme park tickets will now be priced based on the date(s) you choose to visit. These changes are designed to give you an enhanced way to purchase theme park tickets and to allow you the flexibility to maximize your budget by traveling at off-peak dates.
Beginning on October 16, 2018, guests and their travel agents will be able to purchase tickets using an interactive online calendar, which displays different prices based on the dates they choose to visit. These tickets must be used within a specific time period. According to Disney, "this approach to pricing tickets by date is modeled off of consumer demand and is part of our effort to better distribute attendance throughout the year to improve the Guest experience."
Detailed pricing will be available beginning on Oct. 16. We know that you have questions about this new ticket structure, so we have provided answers to some potential frequently asked questions below.
